Ilah Adeline
Hi! Welcome to Josephines. My name is Ilah! I am a local Wheaton resident with 10 years of experience in the coffee industry in the Chicago suburbs and Arizona.
I reside and grew up in Wheaton, IL and spent a year in Arizona working at a non-profit coffee shop while studying athletic coaching. All of my coffee experiences gave me firsthand insight into what it takes to grow a successful small coffee business, as well as a strong understanding of the increasing demand for quality coffee at various types of events and outdoor sporting venues.
I am fortunate to raise my daughter here and continue to build a strong foundation of community connections and local partnerships along the way. I am truly grateful you’re here, as I am inspired by a desire to bring my experience and passion back to my hometown and surrounding communities.
Josephine
Josephine is our baby girl that we lost in November of 2024.
As we were preparing to launch our coffee business in fall 2025 under the name Hazels, we felt called to change it to something more personal and intentional as we begin this journey.
We recognize that many mothers in our community have experienced miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, and infant loss. In honor of that shared experience, we hope to create space for remembrance, support, and connection through what we’re building.
Within our first year of business, we plan to donate a portion of proceeds to the Baby Spirit Foundation, supporting pregnancy and infant loss, with an opportunity for the community to donate as well.
Thank you for your support!
